Everyone experiences some age-related limitations as we get older.
These changes can happen faster for people with spinal cord injuries. With age we have to adapt and restructure expectations to continue to thrive. The good news is many people with SCI are already very good at adapting.
Cortree is developing a series of new resources to help people in the SCI community develop healthy aging strategies. The goal of the series is to help you preserve your good health as you age and the wear and tear adds up. New topics include Equipment, Mental Health, Heart Health, Skin Health, Joints and Mobility and Osteoporosis. Clinicians share big picture recommendations and people in the community share their expertise on what works for them.
“Loved the concept of not holding off as the future comes quickly. Arms, shoulders and other joints wear out quickly and limits the future in terms of transfers and comfort.”
“I liked the descriptions of equipment in different parts of the house and the stories, especially Christine’s.”
I was very engrossed and moved by the person testimonials. The “stories to tell..” were all very relevant and on point. Thank you for developing excellent content.

I think the stories and how they were told were fabulous. They made what could be a very dry topic real and gave the whole experience life. It was very well done.

The content is great, easily accessible. The language is clear and the personal testimonials along with professionally curated content make for a really enjoyable learning experience.
